Happy Pasta Day!
To celebrate it properly we share with you a recipe of our super seitan ragù!
Ingredients for 4 people:
200 g of seitan
1 stalk of celery
1 glass of red wine
300 ml of tomato puree
2 tablespoons of tomato concentrated paste
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Cayenne pepper to taste (optional)
Extra virgin olive oil, to taste
In a large saucepan pour the extra virgin olive oil and fry the onion, carrot, and celery previously chopped with a blender. Add the ground seitan (previously chopped with a blender) and sauteé for a few minutes. Then fade it with red wine and let it evaporate. Add the tomato puree, tomato paste and a little of water. Continue cooking over low heat for about 40 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent it from sticking. Towards the end of cooking, add salt and pepper.
The seitan ragù is now ready and it’s super delicious with homemade tagliatelle (discover our recipe a few posts ago).
